Understanding the Niche
April 29th 2009 22:08
Hey there and welcome to "The Niche Blog".
My name is Shane O'Hare. Im a technology analyst (AKA someone who reads Digg all day) from the great northern state of Alaska. The problem with living in Alaska is that the winters are too long and cold to go outside so you end up infront of the computer all day. Eventually there isnt anything new on the Internet to learn or read, all the stories from the various blogs and such have been read by lunch time.
So instead of resorting to building model airplanes with my dad or hunting for Grouss I started exploring some of the Niche (now the name makes sense) things certain cultures, be it Foreign cultures or sub cultures like Psychobilly punk, have to offer the "normal everyday guy".
This is an elegant way of saying this blog is about random stuff I find interesting that i try to incorporate into my everyday life that I think other people , regardless of their stereotype, would find interesting.
So stay tuned for updates about Teas from around the world, Troma Movies, Innapropiate uses for Petrol and styrofoam, Zen philosophy (even though orble said that wont make you bank, I bet I can put a profitable spin on things) and Golf.
