So The Beatles Rockband came out on 9/9/09. I was very very exited for this game and have had it pre-ordered a month in advance. The day came and I went out and fired it up. DAY ONE! I beat the game twice. So much fun, I say that the game is a 9 out of 10. Few small flaws but that's just nit picking, but now lets get to the point of this article.
For years I had this predisposition about the Beatles being huge dicks
Small things like the group suing Apple computers over itunes and that they (the Beatles/apple corps) and Apple computers were too similar when it comes to music. Then things like Paul snubbing people in interviews and fans when they met him in real life.
I liked their music, one of my first CD's was their "1" album, greatest hits kinda deal that came out some years ago, but them as a group kind left a bad taste in my mouth.
Basically Beatles=Dicks in my book until I played this game. After you beat a song you unlock a picture and a little story that goes with the picture/song. I watched all the videos I unlocked, interviews and such. I experienced The Beatles from start to finish. Songs like Shes so heavy and Lucy in The Sky were intense. I got this new appreciation for the fellows from Liverpool.
So basically, they are dicks, but they god damned earned the right to be dicks. Things like Magical Mystery Tour, and Help! movies were pieces of art. Their music garnered the absolute love and praise of the entire world. I know how great they are , you know how great they are and THEY know how great they are.
The only four men on this planet that get a free pass on being douches.

Probably serious. heh, I never considered them dicks - just blokes with some serious problems who happen to be very talented.
