Everyone Needs to Calm Down

So if you've read the "News Media Sucks" entry then you know my disdain for televised news. So last night my father had Fox News on. Greta Van Sustren's show was on and they were talking about David Letterman.
Apparently he said something bad about Sarah Palin's younger daughter. Of course no one was talking about what was said exactly so I had to get it second hand from my mother. I'm not gonna rehash it or anything but if you are reading this go google what he said, but it involved Sarahs 14 year old daughter and Alex Rodriguez.
I cannot believe the stupidity of these people. There was literally 50 people outside his studio with signs protesting. With such lovely quotes as "Letterman needs to be locked up" "Letterman promotes rape" "Letterman needs to be registered as a sexual offender". They were all women but there was one guy in the crowd. And he exuded the aura of an opportunist. He said "A-Rod needs to make a statement to the media because hes just as much involved in this as we are."
Wow, just wow. This guy looked so out of place, and I guarantee that this guy had no idea who "A-ROD" is or what the A or the ROD stands for. He just seemed like the kind of guy who wanted to get on TV and possibly if anyone asks who he is he promote his book.
All these people on the streets were making fools of themselves. Shouting and screaming over an off color joke a comedian made, he even screwed it up!
If it was anyone else kid nobody would have cared.
So now that we got all that out of the way the self improvement tip of the week.
If you see stuff like this on tv or on the web or see it in the paper, dont let it get to you. There is no reason to get up on a soap box and yell into the darkness about how something a comedian said was bad and illegal. I dont even know how many times another comedian talked about the same things but on a different channel. So just calm and let things go.
